Hugh Elder
MEDIATOR
Hugh Elder was accredited as a mediator by CEDR in 2015. Upon retirement as a solicitor in 2017 after over 40 years in private practice, Hugh established himself as an independent mediator and is registered with the Civil Mediation Council. He was President of the London Solicitors Litigation Association at the time of the Woolf Reforms to Civil Procedure (1999) which encouraged and incentivised litigants to mediate.
Hugh brings to a mediation not only his long experience of dispute resolution as a solicitor and mediator across a wide range of commercial and private issues, but also ten years of managing a law firm and acknowledged skills in helping individuals unfamiliar with the legal process to find their way through.
